Does using the crosstrainer / elliptical (with resistance) to build muscle?
Yes, more strength, more muscle. Low resistance gives definition through repetition. Think of it this way, if you: Muscle is a tissue when working with fabric that stretches and break a little. You gain muscle because the body repair tissue with more muscle. Other things are going well, but lets keep this up. Thus, the more weight / Resistance that are driving then the more you tear the muscle and the more your body needs to give the repair. This results in bulk in muscle, not the definition. When you are working on reducing resistance is stretching the muscle and not breaking as much, gradually building muscle muscle creates form (sculpture) So these are the two things to consider … thicker or more muscle definition.
